CYBER SECURITY
First of all, we would like to know what is cyber security?
We all know that practically almost everything nowadays is
linked to computers or the internet.
The amount of our personal data that we
transmit or save online is unimaginable. The mobile phones we use( messaging,
emails, saved passwords) credits cards information, medical certificates,
online lectures and results, Bank account numbers, Government institutions (Social
Security Numbers, tax records), Technology companies patents so on and so much.
With all of these informations either saved in our phones,
personal computers or someone elses computer needs protection by preventing it
from deleting, altering or getting into the hands of the intruder and this is
where cyber security is coming into play.
Information is very vital in todays’ world, be it individual
or governments to companies and institutions the data and private information
of the general populace needs to be secured and handled in utmost secrecy.
There is no guarantee that our data or personal information
is 100% secured but we can protect our data by following the best practices
that would enable us mitigate whatever damage hackers try to do on our
electronic gadgets and computers.
It’s a global war and all of us have a role to play in either
way to make this world a safe heaven for all.
